About Us

ROTARY is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotary club of Cochin Beachside was chartered on 21st March 1990 under the presidency of (late) V T Alexander.  Rotary Club of Cochin West was the mother club with Rtn. W C Thomas as the GSR. The club used to meet at Abad Chullickal and then in Bolghatty Palace Hotel, Abad Atrium, Time Square.   And for past several years, our meetings take place in  Hotel Mercy Estate, Ravipuram, Kochi.

Rtn. PHF James Plappiilly is our 27th President in 29th year (2018-19).   We meet at The Mercy International Hotel, regularly every Friday.  Our meetings include wonderful camaraderie, great conversationS, good food, thoughtful and intelligent programs, and genuine fellowship that typify our club.   Our Board Meetings are held mostly on first Monday of every month at other locations and sponsosred 100% by the board members.

Recognitions and Awards

  • Rtn. James Plappilly receied 3 awards at RAM (Rotary Athletic Meet) conducted by Rotary club of Greater Cochin in the year 2017

    Total 8 awards from District/Regional were bagged by Beachside in the year 2017. This include Best President and Best Club as well.

    Best Secretarial Award was bagged by Rtn. Murali Nair of Beachside during year 2016.

  • Service Excellence Award was presented to Ann. Dr. Nisha Vincent for her outstanding support to Beacchside in terms of referring projects, helping in Parivarthan application processes, conducting classess for our Pakalveedu members in Panangad,  supporting with English Teachers from St. Theresas College for conducting classes at Veli School as part of Parivarthan Project in yar 2016-17.

     

     

  • Nation Build award for best teacher award was presented to Mrs. Smitha Arvind of veli school Fort Kochi. It was a project under RYLA International organized by Rotary club of Greater Cochin.
